Eclipse Fireworks Ahead: Get Ready!

As the outer planets align and two eclipses ignite the sky, the cosmos calls us out of hiding. This is a rare moment for honest self-enquiry, asking what part of you or your world is ready for change.

As the outer planets align into a perfect triangle, two eclipses add fireworks. No more hiding your head in the sand. Now is the time for honest self-enquiry about what part of you or your world needs to change.

For astrologers, the meaning of an eclipse reflects the ancient myth of a demon dragon called Rahu. The unfortunate Rahu will be betrayed and cut in half by the Sun and the Moon. His revenge every 6 months is to swallow their light. The light that allows us to see.

Eclipses typically unleash a confrontation with the dark that we need to have. The upside? An opportunity to confront an old pattern that is consuming you. Look for events happening in September for clues to what that may be.

The solar eclipse on the 21st has extra bite. Here’s why:

  • Mars meets Pluto:

As the eclipse unfolds, the warlike Mars makes a brutal square with Pluto, the god of the underworld. At our best, we find the courage to face up to what we’ve been hiding. An unsavoury truth about our shadow side appears. Pluto’s unsentimental gaze is fierce as it slows to stationery in October.

  • A South Node eclipse:

When an eclipse happens at the South Node of the Moon, like this one does, it’s time to process old baggage. What thoughts, beliefs, or feelings are you hanging onto that hold you back?

  • Saturn/Neptune gets a wallop:

The challenging lessons of the Saturn/Neptune conjunction, the focal point of this rare cosmic triangle, are directly triggered by the solar eclipse happening opposite. Whether you call it a spiritual crisis or an existential dilemma, it’s here and it’s now. For guidance on the good that can come of this test, read ‘Feeling Blue’ at www.heartsplan.com.au

In times of collective change, we must first begin with ourselves. The astrology of now describes an aggressive turning within; we need to be honest in self-appraisal and take responsibility for what we find. We all have dark corners that could use a little spring cleaning, and this turbulent beginning of a new era is fit for purpose.
